Fifteen years after abandoning her 12-year-old daughter Rebecca in Madrid, an elderly performer returns to discover that her daughter has married one of her former lovers. Rebecca was raised by her father but remains emotionally attached to her mother, who expresses her anger and bitterness to the fragile daughter.
Their reunion leads to intense conflict as they try to restore their relationship and manage their shared love. The situation becomes complicated when they become suspects in the murder of the husband.
